Most sweetest pears, amongst the pears! Nashi, a mixture between apple and pear, belongs to the Rosaceae family and in the genus of the Pears. Thus it is closely related to the pear, which also confirms its Japanese name "Nashi". Since Nashi means pear. They are known also under the names of Kumoi, Japanese, Korean and Asian pear (these are more rounded) and as Chinese pear (these are more of pear-shaped).The original native country of the Nashi pear is China. From here it has spread over all of East Asia. Today it is cultivated in Japan, Chile, Australia, New Zealand and even in France, Germany and Italy. The Nashi pears grow on a tree which is up to 3 meters tall. The flowers are  snow white like those of pears and have a similar fresh and pleasant odor.Our organic apple-pear (Nashi) is cultivated on our own certified organic farms, under the warm sun of Uzbekistan. The temperate warm climate in the region of Samarkand lends our organic apple - pear its juicy, intense and aromatic flavor of pear. The skin of our organic Nashi is yellow and somewhat more rugged than that of the pears and even the bright flesh is firm and somewhat juicy like our organic pears. Our organic Nashis are plucked when fully ripe, that means when all bioactive ingredients are completely developed. Then they are washed, carefully cut into slices and the kernels are removed before drying them gently in the sun on our own solar dryers (solar drying). This ensures that all the essential ingredients and full flavor remains intact. Our organic slices of pears are 100 % natural product.In Uzbekistan, the pears are taken care by gentle labor and the harvesting as well as drying (solar drying) is undertaken by our subsidiary Silk Road Organic (organic) Foods.
