*from certified organic farming A symbol of immortality! The peaches are grown in China, in its origin, as a symbol of immortality. In the Chinese mythology it is said that there was a remote mountain valley, where the fruits ripen once in every thousand years. In China it was cultivated especially for its beautiful branches and lovely pink and lavender flowers. In ancient times, it came via Persia to Greece and from the Romans to central Europe. The peach is known on our earth since 2000 BC.The peach tree is also called "Persian apple" as it belongs to the apple family, the rose family and also its fruits have stone fruit (pome fruit) like the apple. The tree reaches a height of up to 8 meters, plantation trees are however, mostly between 2 to 3 meters high. The round or oval-spherical fruit has a diameter of 4 to 8 centimeters and a seam between the stem and the top. Our fruits are yellow, green to red in colour and covered with velvety hairs. The pulp is very juicy, yellowish and reddish towards the stone. The hard peach stone is round, provided with grooves and because of its hydrocyanic acid content is not suitable for human consumption.Our organic peaches come from our own certified organic farms situated in Uzbekistan. The peach trees were not moved from conventional to organic farming. Our trees have never ever come in contact with pesticides. In order to ensure 100% safety and freedom from pesticides, we get all our peach slices, batch after batch, tested by independent, accredited Austrian laboratories.In Uzbekistan, our subsidiary Silk Road Organic (Organik) Foods takes very much care of farming, harvesting and drying (solar drying) with the loving and gentle manual work. Uzbekistan is situated in Central Asia, along the famous Silk Road. Silk Road Organic (Organik) Foods has its main processing unit located nearby Samarkand and is specialised in the production of organic (Eco) dried fruits and organic nuts. The production takes place using eco-friendly solar dryers for product-friendly drying. We, the company Marap and the company Silk Road Organic Foods are regularly tested and verified by the ABG (Austria Bio Garantie) and certified in accordance with the EG-Öko Verordnung (EC-Eco Regulation) (EU 834/2007) and the NOP (Nation Organic Program).In the mature state, the organic peaches are ploughed by hand, washed, freed from stone and cut into slices. Subsequently, they are gently and slowly dried in the sun, on self-designed solar dryers (sun drying). This ensures that all the ingredients and full flavour is retained. Our soft organic peach rings are a 100% natural product.  Our high-quality dried organic peach rings contain no additives, preservatives or dyes and are guaranteed sulphur-free. We get our organic peach rings pressure treated (pressure treatment), so no quality loss may occur due to insects.
